Slides and personal stories demonstrate the knowledge and experience he has accumulated over the years.

Jason MacNeil: Every Artifact Has a Story!
Are you as informed about our Island history as our Grade 5 students? Jason MacNeil,
Education Director at Orwell Corner Historic Village, brings a lively experiential presentation to our heritage hall using artifacts from the museum and stories that bring them to life. Challenge yourself to identify fascinating objects from the past, and be entertained by the stories they tell.
Thursday, August 24 – 2:00pm
Ann Thurlow: My Life in Cabbage
Writer, broadcaster and editor Ann Thurlow tells the story of how a humble, unappreciated vegetable helped save a farm, introduce her to her idol, win her a husband and create a best-selling cookbook. In partnership with Veseys Seeds, Ann has sold over 7,000 copies with proceeds going to Blooming House, a shelter for homeless women. Our Island Talks is a collaboration between the Victoria Historical Association and the Victoria Playhouse. Admission by Donation. Join us!
