Legends Of Country Music – Songs & Stories from the Golden Era

Hosted by honky-tonk raconteur Nudie and accompanied by Bobby McIsaac on guitar and vocals, “Songs & Stories from the Golden Era” features visuals and the humorous stories behind the songs and the artists that made them famous.

Audiences will experience an evening of classic country music with all the hits from favourite singers of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, including Johnny Cash, Hank Snow, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline and more.

After soaking up musical experiences in Toronto, Montreal, Phoenix, Austin and New York City, Nudie now hangs his Gibson guitar in Charlottetown. His stage name is a nod to Nashville’s rhinestone cowboy tailor, Nudie Cohn.

Nudie’s decades-long performing career has landed him on the stages of the Philadelphia, Montreal and Ottawa Folk Festivals, Willie Nelson’s end-of-tour party in 2006, a support slot with Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives and official showcases at Folk Alliance and Americana Music conferences.

His songs have been featured in CTV television’s Saving Hope as well as the 2021 crime/thriller, A Small Fortune
